In the Midst of Conflict

One of the more hidden consequences of war is the negative effect it has on women living in conflict stricken countries. This poster, which was submitted to the Skopje "Design for Peace" poster competition, was designed to reflect war's entrapment of women in the midst of conflict. This poster utilizes negative space creating a woman's body using the silhouettes of two shouting figures pointing and yelling at one another. The mixed media design utilizes pen and ink illustrations and cardboard cutouts to give this poster the rough and jarring feeling of war and conflict.
